About Shunyam
SHUNYAM
“Live in Peace before Resting in Peace.”
That is the thought from which Shunyam was born.
In a world constantly asking us to do more, become more, consume more and prove more… peace has quietly become rare.
We chase success, productivity, experiences, validation and endless distractions hoping they will finally make us feel fulfilled. But somewhere in the middle of all that noise, many of us slowly lose connection with ourselves.
Shunyam was created as a gentle return to that connection.
A space inspired by timeless wisdom from the Bhagavad Gita, Yog, Upanishads and Meaningful lifestyles, not as philosophy, but as practical guidance for modern life.
A space to pause.
To reflect.
To breathe a little deeper.
To return to yourself.
Not as a platform for motivation or self-improvement overload. But as a slower, more conscious way of living.
Shunyam is a slow, meaningful space for those who are tired of constantly rushing through life and want to return to simplicity, awareness, depth and inner peace.
This is not a place to escape life. It is a place to live it more consciously.
Through reflections as writings, audio conversations & videos, Shunyam explores what it truly means to live a peaceful and meaningful life in the modern world.
Welcome to Shunyam.
Here, step into Shunyam - a quiet space for meaningful living, reflection and inner peace.
The Lifestylist
Hi, I'm Rani.
An engineer by qualification, a creative by heart, and above all, someone endlessly curious about life.
For many years, I followed my passion as an interior designer and built a creative career that I genuinely loved. It taught me how thoughtful spaces can influence the way we feel and experience the world.
Yet, somewhere along the way, I realised something unexpected.
Following my passion wasn't the same as finding my purpose.
There came a time when life's questions became louder than its answers.
What does success really mean?
Why do we spend so much of our lives chasing more?
Why do relationships become difficult?
Why do we compare ourselves with others?
And perhaps the question that stayed with me the longest...
How do we find peace while life is still unfolding?
Those questions quietly changed the direction of my life.
I found myself reading more than ever before, not in search of information, but in search of understanding.
That journey led me to minimalism, the Bhagavad Gita, the Upanishads, timeless wisdom, philosophy, psychology, and countless books that slowly reshaped the way I looked at life.
Over time, I realised something simple yet profound.
Peace doesn't come when life finally becomes perfect.
It comes when our relationship with life begins to change.
That understanding became the foundation of my own journey, and eventually, the seed from which Shunyam grew.
Today, I spend my days doing the things I love most - reading, writing, cooking, watching thoughtful films, sitting with a cup of tea, and paying attention to the ordinary moments that often carry life's deepest lessons.
I don't think of myself as a teacher or an influencer. I'm simply a fellow traveller.
Someone who is still learning, still questioning, still discovering.
Most of what I write begins with something that quietly stays with me.
A verse from the Gita.
A sentence from a book.
A conversation with someone I love.
A memory from childhood.
A rainy afternoon.
A film that refuses to leave my mind.
Or sometimes, just a question that won't let me go.
Writing has become the way I make sense of life.
Shunyam is where I share that journey.
Not to offer perfect answers, but to create a quiet space where we can pause, reflect, and perhaps understand ourselves a little better.
If something you read here makes you slow down, smile, question, remember, or simply feel a little less alone, then this space has served its purpose.
Thank you for being here.
I hope you'll return whenever life gives you another question.
