  • тАЬBe yourself; everybody else is already taken.тАЭ тАФ Oscar Wilde

In a world obsessed with fitting in, the bravest act is to stand out unapologetically. We spend years trying to mirror others, to belong, to be accepted. But in doing so, we often lose the quiet melody of our own soul. The truth is, there is only one you with your quirks, scars, laughter, and chaos. ThatтАЩs your art, your signature, your truth. Being yourself is not arrogance, itтАЩs awareness. ItтАЩs choosing peace over performance, authenticity over approval. ItтАЩs the courage to say - тАЬthis is me, raw and real.тАЭ And in that moment of acceptance, something divine happens, life starts to flow effortlessly. The universe didnтАЩt create you to be a copy. It crafted you as a unique vibration, a note that completes the song of existence. So, stop dimming your light to match someone elseтАЩs comfort. The world doesnтАЩt need another echo; it needs a unique voice - be that voice, be that essence. In the end, being yourself is not just a choice, itтАЩs an offering to life itself. Rani

  • What You Are Not Changing, You Are Choosing┬а

The universe never leaves you without signs. When something in your life feels heavy, stagnant, or misaligned - itтАЩs not punishment. ItтАЩs an invitation. An invitation to rise, to realign, to remember. Every situation you tolerate is not fate, itтАЩs free will. Every pattern you repeat is not destiny, itтАЩs a lesson you havenтАЩt yet learned. Because what you are not changing, you are choosing. When you continue to live in chaos, you are saying тАЬyesтАЭ to noise over peace. When you allow disrespect, you are saying тАЬyesтАЭ to dishonour over dignity. When you stay silent in front of your truth, you are saying тАЬyesтАЭ to fear over faith. Karma does not only unfold through action, it also unfolds through inaction. When your soul knows something must shift and you ignore the whisper, you plant the seed of your own unrest. Yes, Change is scary, yet sacred. ItтАЩs the soulтАЩs way of shedding what no longer vibrates with its light. And though the process may ache, it is the ache of rebirth not loss. You are not meant to stay in the same energy forever .You are meant to evolve, to keep choosing alignment over approval, growth over familiarity and truth over illusion. So pause & ask yourself, what have I been enduring that my higher self has already outgrown? The moment you answer honestly, the universe rearranges itself to meet your courage. Because life honours every soul brave enoughto choose change over comfort and evolution over ease. Rani

  • Beyond Right and Wrong: A place where Our Souls Meet

тАЬYahaan se bahut door, ghalat aur sahi ke paar, ek maidan hai, main wahaan milunga tujhe...тАЭ - Rumi This is not just a promise, it is the truth of our souls. Beyond the chaos of right and wrong, beyond the noise of the worldтАЩs opinions, beyond societyтАЩs rules, there is a meadow where time dissolves. A space where judgment fades and truth alone remains - that is where I wait for you. In that space, you do not need to wear a mask, nor do I. Just you, as you are. Just me, as I am. Your wounds are not flaws, and my fears are not burdens because your scars are welcome and my flaws are safe. They are simply stories etched in our journeys, stories that brought us here. In your silence, I hear poetry; in your presence, I find home. Even when apart, the connection hums quietly, because it was never tied to time or space. It was written before us, and it will remain after us. Just two souls recognising each other not through roles, but through essence. The world may call this impractical, may try to reduce love to rules, labels, or logic. But our bond was never born of reason, it was born of remembrance. Because our connection was never of this world. It was carved long before we were born, written across lifetimes. When our eyes met, it was not discovery, it was recognition. Like two rivers merging, like stars remembering they belong to the same night sky. So let the world debate right and wrong, success and failure. Let them question, let them doubt. We need not fight that battle. For we have a meadow waiting, where souls walk barefoot, unburdened, free. I will meet you there again, every time, in every life. And when we meet there, it will not be the beginning or the end. It will be the continuation of a story our souls have been writing across lifetimes. Eternally yours тАж.

  • 7 ME time actions that has helped me improve the quality of my life

We often feel we need to be there for everyone & everything except for ourselves. We have the habit of ignoring ourselves under the pretext of responsibility. Yes, we have responsibilities. Responsibilities towards work, family , home & the world. But the most important responsibility we have is towards ourselves. We often neglect our physical, mental & emotional health because something else is a priority. The fact is, our number one priority should be us. We can serve others only if we serve ourselves well first. And to serve ourselves well, we need regular ME time in our daily routine that helps us stay emotionally, mentally & physically healthy & fit. I have listed down 7 ME time actions that has helped me improve the quality of my life without compromising on other responsibilities. 1. Waking up early I get up at 4.30 am six days a week. When people hear that they ask with a surprised look that what I do waking up so early. I sit in silence & write down my thoughts. I get best ideas in the morning when I am sitting alone with my thoughts. I meditate, do yoga, go for a walk while listening to inspirational talks. I do all this & yet I m done by 7 am to get back to my routine. 2. Planning Though I plan my year, month & week , I have the habit of daily planning. Most of my planning is done before I close my office for the day. So the next morning, I have nothing to worry about & straight up start with the work planned, without wasting time getting confused what to do. 3. Exercising I believe, when in doubt, exercise. When you are confused about what do to, best thing is to exercise. After 4 years of chronic pain, I gave myself completely to exercise without giving up. For me, walking is my all time favourite exercise. Ask me to walk anytime & I am always ready. Exercise gives you a new energy that will help you keep active throughout the day. Exercising, especially walking gives me a lot of time to channelise my thoughts. 4. Journaling / Writing I have always believed that pen is mightier than sword. Writing helps you clear your thoughts & perform in a more productive way. 5. Reading Reading is like meditation for me. When I open a book, I get immersed in the world of words. Books are the best teachers. Open any book & you will definitely learn something worthwhile. 6. Staying away from screens I must admit that I am not totally off screen. But I consciously try to stay away from screens as much as I can. Less screen time has given me more time to do more interesting & productive things in real world. 7. Listening to inspirational stuff It is always good to learn from others. Listening to inspirational people has made me grow spiritually & emotionally, which has resulted in peace of mind. These activities has given me the much needed space that I wish for, for my over all well being. Remember, ME time is not a luxury, itтАЩs a necessity ! Activity time !! Write down how will having ME time everyday will affect your life? List down at least 3 ME time activities that your are doing or wish to do. Now, go for it. Tip : if you are not having ME time yet, start with just 30 mins everyday. Happy ME timing !!! - Rani The Meaningful Lifestyle

  • тАЬ Maun VratтАЭ - My experiment with silence

Being one amongst my New year resolution to undertake 6 new experiences across this year, тАЬSilenceтАЭ has always amazed me! It was something I always wanted to try but wanted to do it in my present environment, amongst people. What inspired me? Speech is one the most profound strengths we humans have been blessed with. And I feel that most of the times we speak unnecessarily, only because we have been given the liberty to do so. There were couple of instances in my life where I wanted to address something badly, but for some or the other reason I kept quiet. Surprisingly it worked for my benefit, which eventually led to attaining utmost peace of mind. This made me wonderтАУ if a moment of silence can be so beneficial, imagine practicing silence as a routine! And that was when I thought of at least observing half day a week in silence. And honestly, when I thought of starting it, I was under the impression that it would be very easy not to speak for 7-8 hours, but soon I realized that I was wrong. What I did? During my first week, I was so excited about the whole maun vrat thing that I got up an hour early than my usual time. I was up by 4 am with a big smile on my face & was looking forward for the whole experience. Having informed all my near & dear ones the previous day & also my maids, I ensured that no one gets any kind of surprises with my experiential endeavor. Also, to ensure 100 percent commitment to the whole experience, I avoided any form of media during this time. All I do is read, write, meditate & just be there with myself & my thoughts. Let me enumerate one incident that distinctly caught my memory. It was my first maun vrat, and I was sitting in my room, writing something when I heard something fall in the kitchen. Wanted to get up, check it at once but then I controlled. After sometime, my maid came & told me that the whole bottle full of freshly squeezed lemon juice a previous day, fell from her hand & all the juice spilled. I was quite upset but my silence saved her & me both ЁЯШм. I did feel helpless as I couldnтАЩt speak, but I remained there. And eventually, this whole thing passed away peacefully without me saying anything to her. In turn, what she did was worth mentioning. She had just got lemons from her parentsтАЩ house a day before which she got at my place & again squeezed all the lemons & filled up the container. I realised it much later in the day & told her not to do so but she did not agree. It was all because I let it go without saying anything. The rest of the day went by with few missed calls, few mistakes by maids & few things that did not happen my way. But, at the end of the day all of it had passed away peacefully. Finally, at 12 pm when I started to speak, I did not feel the need to address those issues, which normally I would have, in annoyance. Then every Tuesday, it was the more or less the same routine, some good things, some not so good things but eventually, all that I achieved was peace & I kept learning new things with each experience. How was the experience ? As I mentioned earlier, before trying it, I had a strong feeling that it would be difficult to remain silent for 8 hours. But I was wrong. It was not only difficult but extremely challenging, than I had thought, because it is very difficult to control yourself when you really want to speak & let your feelings out. But at the end of half day, I felt so peaceful that I started looking forward to next Tuesday. Also, you know it has been good for you & others when next morning your maid comes & she greets you & you greet her in return & she is surprised & asks jokingly тАЬaaje tamaru maun vrat nathiтАЭ (Today you are not observing silence)?ThatтАЩs when it hit me that itтАЩs ok to let go off few things. You need not react every time. You are at peace & others also feel the positivity of it. Now, not just Tuesdays, but other days too, I donтАЩt see the need to speak without any reason. It has only helped me achieve more positivity. Yes, but I am human & do get upset but except for one incident, I did not react & let it pass. What I learned? Few things I learned during this experiment: - First of all, I thank God for this wonderful blessing called speech. ItтАЩs very hard when you want to say something but you canтАЩt. That is when you realize that how many things we take for granted. - Silence is the power. Use it to your benefit. No matter how badly you want to address some thing that upsets you, stay silent for sometime & let it pass. In most cases, you wont regret it. - End result to silence is always peace. - Nothing is urgent unless itтАЩs the matter of life & death. Putting your mobile/ laptop/ other media away for sometime & staying with your thoughts in silence will only strengthen your inner self. - Silence is also a form of letting go. Letting go off is not that difficult because once you let go, all that you experience is peace. - Respond rather than react. Tips for those willing to try maun vrat: 1. Invest just 4-5 hours to start with 2. Inform your near & dear ones in advance 3. Plan your maun vrat day schedule, the previous day to avoid any distraction 4. Reading, writing & listening to inspiring speeches are the best way to be present to your thoughts - Rani The Meaningful Lifestyle

  • How my experiment about minimalism added peace of mind in my life?

It was a morning of Dec 2017, when I decided to arrange my wardrobe after a series of family weddings. When I started removing stuff to arrange it properly, it seemed as if there was some mystery hole in my wardrobe, from where all the stuff just kept coming out, it was unending! By the time, I emptied my wardrobes, I was shocked to see the amount of clothes, footwear and accessories I had. That was when it hit me: How much of this stuff I actually use? How much of this stuff I actually like to see on me? How much of this do I actually need? How much money I have wasted buying most of these unwanted things? Is this even making me happy? And the answer to all the above questions was a big NO. I decided I had to do something about it. And that was when I decided to experiment with a new lifestyle called тАЬMinimalismтАЭ. I decided to have my New Year resolution for 2018 as experimenting with this new lifestyle called Minimalism. So, after arranging my stuff & working on my needs, I decided to keep INR 10,000/- as my yearly personal expense on materialistic things for the year 2018. It was challenging, but I was up for the challenge. The year went by. On 31st Dec 2018, my personal expense was INR 8650. It was a feeling I would remember for the rest of my life. Since then I have been practicing minimalism & it has opened up new doors of possibilities in my life. Here is how the year 2018 went by with this new experiment: Initially, it was difficult for me to give up on temptations of buying clothes, footwear, home decor, accessories etc. when I saw something really nice in stores or online. But now as I was determined to keep up to my resolution, I somehow managed to keep away from these temptations at the beginning of the year. During this process, I came across something interesting. When I decided to follow minimalism, I used to read stuff about how to go about it & how to not give in to the temptations. During one such reading, I came across an article on тАЬ24 hour therapyтАЭ. It said тАУ if I really like something & I am not sure about whether I should buy it or leave it, I should give myself 24 hours before making the final decision. It sounded interesting & I thought of giving it a try. So during my next visit on online shopping site, I just added accessories to the online cart that I liked instead of placing order. I waited for minimum 24 hours & then visited the shopping cart again to take my final decision of placing order. I realized that when I went after 24 hours, I actually needed or felt like buying only 1-2 things out of 10 things I had placed in the shopping cart.In this way, the 24-hour therapy worked very powerfully for me in terms of making the buying decision. Eventually, at the end of the year 2018, I was able to practice minimalism by spending only INR 8,650. As the year went by, minimalism lifestyle became an integral part of my life & few things have become a permanent habit in my existing lifestyle like: 1. I donтАЩt feel like going for shopping or browse online shopping sites unless I really need it 2. When I feel that I really need something, I give it a long thought before buying 3. 24-hour therapy is helping me to make right buying decisions Since I started applying minimalism, below is the change I experienced since 2018 till todayтАж.. I started giving up stuff I did not need & today my cupboards are 60% empty & my mind is clutter free. As I have fewer clothes to choose from, it saves my time to decide what to wear & I can use this time on productive things. I am now saving my hard earned money, which I am using it to build my independent investment portfolio. More productive time, clutter free mind & more savings in my bank account has lead me to experience peace of mind! Now after this successful experiment of тАЬMinimalismтАЭ towards materialistic things, I have started experimenting тАЬMinimalismтАЭ towards my other areas of life like physical fitness, relationships & business. - Rani The Meaningful Lifestyle
